VCU Internship Funding Program
Undergraduates, are you interviewing for or have you accepted an off-campus internship that is unpaid and/or Virginia-based for the spring semester, and are worried it may not cover your spring expenses? Don't let your funding needs keep you from taking advantage of opportunities for personal and professional growth. Apply for funding for your spring semester experience through the VCU Internship Funding Program!
Funding will be awarded as a direct deposit. It can be used to supplement costs for your initial travel to your internship, daily commuting via public transportation, housing, childcare, professional attire, supplies, and
Complete and eligible student applications will undergo a competitive selection process that involves multiple rounds of review by a committee of approximately 20 faculty and staff members from both campuses. Funding is not guaranteed to all applicants, but we hope to support as many students as possible. Awardees will be notified by December, and payments will ideally be dispersed by Friday, January 16.

Alcohol
All student organizations hosting events where alcohol will be served must complete this Notification of an Event with Alcohol Form in RamsConnect at least fourteen (14) days in advance of any alcohol event. More information about the student organization alcohol policy can be found both on the notification form and in the Student Organization Handbook.
Do you have SGA funding and a purchase that involves a contract?
Any purchase request involving a contract is due in RAMOrgs by October 29, 2025. As a reminder, Student Organizations are prohibited from signing any contract that is paid for through a VCU procurement method.
Carver Elementary School seeks volunteers on Halloween to help with creating and hanging decorations

Travel
All student organizations are encouraged to share their travel details with the student org office through the Travel Reporting Form. Submitting this form is required for any student organization receiving university funding (partial or full funding) for organization travel. Registered Student Organizations receiving any university funding for travel must complete this form 30 days prior to travel to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
