New Graduate Student Orientation

The Graduate School and the Graduate Student Association sponsor an orientation to introduce new graduate students to VCU and the city of Richmond. Departments also conduct individual orientation sessions with representatives available to talk with students and answer questions. If you're unable to join us in person, a livestream of the formal program will be available at https://go.vcu.edu/concerthall at the time of the event. Important Things to Note: - Due to limited capacity, orientation is open to new VCU graduate students only. -Lunch will be provided for new graduate students. Options accommodating a wide range of diets will be available, but please reach out to us at gradschool@vcu.edu if you have concerns regarding dietary restrictions. -You can expect to hear from your department regarding an orientation specific to your program. A list of department-specific orientations can be found at https://graduate.vcu.edu/current-students/newly-admitted-students/ -The GradFest Resource Fair will be held in Cabell Library's third-floor lecture hall, which is on a quiet study floor. Please be mindful of volume when entering and exiting the lecture hall. -Check-in at the event will be completed through a QR code. You may find it helpful to download the CampusGroups app, available on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android), prior to arriving at orientation.
