Joining a VCU fraternity or sorority is a great way to enhance your college experience. From finding a social niche to helping you reach your academic goals to volunteering in our community, membership in a fraternity or sorority is deeply rewarding and meaningful.
More than 1,500 students are part of the VCU's 40 dynamic and vibrant fraternities and sororities.
At VCU, we offer a diverse mix of fraternities and sororities with the hopes that everyone who wants to join a group finds one that closely matches their values and personalities.
The VCU community consists of four governing councils:
The College Panhellenic Council, @cpc_vcu
Interfraternity Council, @ifc_vcu
The Multicultural Greek Council, @vcu_mgc
The National Pan-Hellenic Council, @nphc_vcu
These four governing councils provide a governance structure for the 40 chapters. and The overall direction of VCU's FSL community is guided by the professional staff in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, The Commons.
Special Note: FSL Expansion Statement - Fall 2020
The Fraternity and Sorority Life community at Virginia Commonwealth University has halted all expansion. The community will not begin accepting applications again until at least Fall 2021. Presently, the community feels that this is not the appropriate time to expand. As the community navigates the shift in operations due to COVID-19 and adapts to those changes they feel now is not the time to add to the community. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Office of Civic Engagement and Fraternity & Sorority Life at email@example.com.
