Student workers in The FILL hold paid Federal Work Study positions with flexible scheduling that are recognized by the VCU Peer Leadership Initiative as leadership roles that support student success.
Our positions are posted on VCU Handshake in late summer to hire new staff for the upcoming academic year.

Welcome visitors to The FILL space in Harris Hall
Meet in person with Focused Inquiry students to support them on assignments and to connect them to other VCU resources
Contribute to the design and implementation of workshops, social events, and other programming for students
Create multimedia resources for The FILL
Candidates must have taken at least two Focused Inquiry courses (UNIV 111, 112, 200, 299, 391) at VCU and received a grade of a B or higher in each. Minimum one-year commitment.
As a member of the FILL Staff, you will be a role model and a source of inspiration for students who are just beginning their academic journey.
FILL staff develop leadership skills and gain valuable work experience that will enhance your resume.
By building relationships with fellow students, FILL staff create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters academic and personal growth.
