At Dementia Art Therapy, our mission is to harness the therapeutic potential of art to enhance the lives of individuals affected by dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases. We are dedicated to fostering creativity, connection, and emotional well-being through engaging artistic experiences that promote a sense of joy and mitigate the various symptoms of these conditions. By providing a safe and inclusive space, we aim to empower both participants and their caregivers, promoting self-expression and shared understanding. With a strong focus on collaboration, we strive to create a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of those living with dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases.

Mission
We the Students of Virginia Commonwealth University, in order to form a student organization, foster a strong sense of community, to build collaborative programming, promote an interest in political science, and provide a formal voice for the Political Science student body, do ordain and establish the Constitution of the Political Science Alliance Club.

Membership Benefits
Membership benefits include being able to come together with other students in the Major or concentration as well as being part of a community. The experiences gained can be crucial for job and internship opportunities as well as great resume builders. Other benefits include LSAT Prep for members who are interested in Law School. Additional benefits confirmed by the Department of Political Science as determined by the Political Science Alliance Club and the Department of Political Science.

Mission
RAACE, formed in response to concerns about the SSW's history of perpetuating anti-black racism, is committed to proactive cultural shifting within the institution. This body includes representation from staff, faculty, students, alumni, and community-embedded faculty. Through learning, dialogue, and anti-oppressive practices, RAACE members seek to de-center traditional structures of white supremacy and provide feedback to better align school policies with values of racial and social justice. Emphasizing continuous learning and community engagement, RAACE aims to create a collaborative path forward for the school.

Mission
SALT facilitates, encourages and promotes the public performance of student theatre at the Shafer Street Playhouse. SALT champions the cause of collaborative student theatre that reflects the overall diversity of the student body and the vast spectrum of theatrical possibility. This encourages any student in the University to take charge of their education and artistic growth by integrating their education before an audience. SALT's goal is that students will take personal and artistic risks, which will result in engaging, quality theatre that challenges and enriches the students involved and the community alike. SALT's mission is to provide all students with an equal opportunity to create quality theatre.
