About Us

Our goal is to raise mental health awareness and provide a safe environment for all. Students interested in psychology should also be enlightened, empowered, and inspired. We also encourage growth through networking, community service, and participation in the VCU community as a whole. By stimulating latent abilities through discussion, implementation, and practice of psychological ideas as they relate to people, BPSA aims to develop students' involvement in various communities. It is our intention that each student will become more capable and aware of effecting social change and mental health through active engagement in Richmond and VCU cultural clubs and gatherings. Though our association promotes growth and success within the Black community and has its roots in psychology, we welcome members of all races, ethnicities, cultures, majors and interests.
