Our mission is to greatly enhance the student's educational and professional development through networking, practical experience, mentoring, and organizing community service events. Our vision is is to be a professional fraternity that is recognized for it's representation of the Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Program at Virginia Commonwealth University, and service to the community and the nation.
Members gain professional development experiences, networking opportunities, and lifelong friends.
We create events to support each of our five committees, including: fundraising, professional development, public affairs, recruitment, and volunteer.
Our network of 200+ alumni has supported ELS by providing their expertise in areas including federal resume building and developing strong interview skills.
Our members are comprised of students in HSEP, criminal justice, forensic science, political science, and social work.
We offer our members networking, social, and professional development opportunities to help prepare them for the professional world and create lifelong friendships.
