The Disability Advocacy and Accessibility Caucus (DAAC), is dedicated to advocating for equitable access to education, advancing disability-focused policies, and fostering a campus environment where accessibility allows all students—both with and without disabilities—to thrive. The initiative is in partnership with the VCU Student Government Association and is open to ALL VCU students and faculty.

Feedback Opportunity: Campus Expression Policy

As part of its commitment to fostering an environment conducive to civil discourse, VCU implemented three new interim policies in August of 2024. In that announcement, VCU shared that there would be a public comment period to allow members of the community to provide feedback about the interim policies prior to any permanent changes being implemented. VCU will have the comment period open 25 business days, closing on February 28.
Comments are welcome about the following draft policies:

You can provide feedback by visiting the VCU Policies Website and clicking on “Policies Open for Public Comment.” The draft policies will be listed. Once you open a policy a link will be in the policy document. This link will take you to the comment form. Each policy utilizes a different form. Please make sure you use the form linked to the specific policy you wish to comment on.

New Bulletin Board in Cabell Library

Hello Student Organization Leaders!

We’re excited to introduce a new bulletin board on the first floor of James Branch Cabell Library, next to the printers—one of the busiest spots in the building. All registered VCU student organizations are welcome to post flyers and event info here, as well as on the existing boards on the second and third floors.

These boards are monitored and cleared monthly by library staff. Per VCU Libraries policy, they are the only approved areas for posting; any flyers elsewhere will be removed.

Take advantage of this great opportunity to promote your org! For questions, contact Joe Venezia at jvenezia@vcu.edu.
