Subject: SEA Meeting this Monday!!!

And the Countdown to Spring Break Begins!

Tl;dr: Meeting Monday at 7pm. Guest speaker: Professor Stephen Day (with virtual option). Homecoming week Feb 12-18, with the Business Career Fair the week after (Feb 21 and 22).

Hi everyone, hope you enjoyed Thursday's snow! It might seem a little early to start thinking about spring break, but it'll be here before you know it! If you're putting off summer internship applications, it'll be a great time to hopefully land a position- see the bottom of this email for some postings that are up now!

Please join us in welcoming Professor Stephen Day, VCU economics professor and director of the VCU Center for Economic Education, this
Monday, February 6th at 7pm in Snead Hall room B2165. Professor Day will be discussing how and why k-12 students learn about personal finance and economics. You’ll be able to see a different side of where an economics degree can lead you! The meeting will be held in Snead Hall room B2165 at 7pm- there is also a virtual option if you can’t attend in-person. RSVP for the meeting and find the Zoom link here!

As a special treat, we'll be sharing a surprise annoucement on Monday regarding SEA that we're very excited about- and you might be too. Also remember that we'll be recruiting leadership for next year starting in April!

Lastly, we know a lot of information is packed into these newsletters. We update our website regularly, so instead of going through old newsletters to find resources you can visit our website (
here) for opportunities we've included in past newsletters!

Please reach out to us at the.econ.club@gmail.com, DM us on instagram, or send a message in the GroupMe with any questions or suggestions about what you'd like to see from SEA. Your suggestions at our last meeting have been noted- so many great ideas that we are very excited to use!

Thanks and have a great weekend!
