Roster of Participating Student Orgs

Thank you to the 420+ student organizations who signed up to participate in the SOVO Fair during annual registration! As we gear up for SOVO Fair, keep an eye out for newsletters with important updates, including set up and table location info.  As a reminder, SOVO Fair will take place on Friday, Aug. 22 from 3 - 6 pm in Monroe Park.

Registration for SOVO Fair is now closed for student orgs. If you have any questions about your org’s participation in SOVO Fair, or if you’d like to submit a request for accommodations for the day of the fair, please email us at studentorgs@vcu.edu.

Residential Life and Housing will hold its annual move-in weekend on Friday, Aug. 15 and Saturday, Aug. 16. Over 3,000 first-year students will be moving in and your help is needed to unload vehicles, manage and push move-in carts and welcome the Class of 2029.

Volunteer as an organization and have a chance to win $500 in funding! The winner in each category below that has the most volunteers for their organization will receive $500.00 JVd to their student organization account.

  • General: Small Student Org  (1-20 total members)
  • General: Medium Student Org (21-45 total members)
  • General: Large Student Org (46+ total members)
  • FSL: IFC Org
  • FSL: NPHC Org
  • FSL: MGC Org
  • FSL: CPC Org

Each student will sign up through the volunteer form individually and note their affiliated student organization and then one representative of the student organization will submit the form twice, once for themselves and then once for their student organization.

Student organizations are needed to cheer on the class of 2029 in Monroe Park as they complete the Ram Spirit Walk. To reserve your spot, please complete this Google Form, and the Student Alumni Council will reach out to you with event details.

We will also be sponsoring a $500 prize for the organization that comes out and shows the most spirit! Things that show a lot of Ram spirit include, but not limited to:

  • wearing VCU gear
  • holding VCU and/or welcome signs 
  • being loud
  • high member participation

Please arrive by your designated check in time at the yellow alumni tent outside of Seigel Center!
