Hello Men of Color!

Just wanted to send out an abbreviated newsletter for the week!

Join other Men of Color TONIGHT as we travel to the Siegel Center to cheer on our Lady Rams as they take on William & Mary! Meet in the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (located in suite 215 on the second floor of the Student Commons) @5:30pm to walk over. The first 5 Men of Color that arrive will get a free OMSA beanie. Make sure to bring your VCU ID to get entry to the game. Register for this event on ramsconnect: https://cglink.me/2dV/r1886060 . This is a great event welcome to all with varying interest levels in basketball. From the super interested to mild fans, come out to support our Lady Rams, and meet other MOC! As always, please invite any other MOC you may know.

Apply to be an RA! Resident Assistants serve the residential community as peer leaders. A peer leader at VCU is defined as a student who has been selected and trained to serve in a leadership role that supports student success. An RA at VCU facilitates a safe and inclusive living environment in the residence hall by acting as a liaison between residential students and University administration.

RAs are expected to uphold and demonstrate a commitment to Residential Life and Housing values: Collaboration, Inclusion & Diversity, Resident Centered, Learning, and Excellence. RAs enhance each resident’s experience through in-person and online interactions via programming, policy education and enforcement, conflict management, quality customer service, commitment to building communities that are welcoming for all, maintaining a community presence, and role modeling good conduct and positive contributions to the residential community.
