SGA Elections Are Almost Here. Be sure to cast your vote.

We’re kicking off the year with exciting updates and a new and improved RamsConnect!

  • Our New Look: Notice anything different? Using your valuable feedback from last Spring, we pulled out the drawing board and sketched a new and modern look for RamsConnect. Check out our new icons, banners, and Campus Resources page!
  • Updated Resources: All Group Officers now have access to our RamsConnect Training Guide under your Tracks & Checklists. This training will help you feel confident with all the tools you can use to engage with your members.
  • Let’s Chat!: Need one-on-one or in-person support? Want to share feedback or chat about the future of RamsConnect? We’re excited to offer our new RamsConnect Office Hours! Find these on the RamsConnect Resources group page.

We are updating a few features within the platform.

  • Event Tags. Event tags will be reset by the end of the Spring 2025 semester. In an effort to improve navigation and access within the platform, we are introducing new guidelines for event tags! These guidelines will prevent duplicate information in the platform and help folks easily find events pertaining to their interests.
    • Existing tags should always be used as much as possible. Please review all current event tags before creating a new one.
    • Tags should not be used to indicate the hosting group, event location, event date/year, event name, or other basic information available elsewhere in the event creation.
    • If your group is using these tags for data collection or assessment, please reach out to the RamsConnect Coordinator at ramsconnect@vcu.edu
  • Co-Hosting. We have new guidelines for co-hosting events. Co-hosting should only be used to indicate significant multi-group collaborations. Co-hosting should not be used vertically- i.e. indicating another group, department, or division that your group belongs in. Additionally, co-hosting should always be communicated with all groups involved.

As we approach the end of the academic year, don’t forget that annual re-registration is coming up! Make sure your student organization is prepared to stay active for another year. Now is also the perfect time to start planning your officer transition to ensure a smooth handoff for the next leadership team.

Stay tuned for more details, and reach out if you have any questions!

Join us for an exciting cultural exchange and community-building time at our Mix & Mingle event on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect and discover various cultural student organizations at VCU. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience!

Come with an open heart and a curious mind. We can't wait to see you there! Refreshments are provided.

The Student Government Association here at VCU wanted to reach out and inform your organization about an event we will be hosting on April 5th, 2025.

The Big Event is a one-day, student-run service project where Rams come together to say “Thank You” to the residents of Richmond. VCU SGA is excited to provide an opportunity that shows our appreciation to the surrounding community, completing service projects such as yard work, window washing, and painting for residents of the community.

The Office of Government Relations is seeking 1-2 student organizations interested in attending an upcoming event at Old Dominion University. Transportation will be provided for student groups. For more information, please contact Verenda Cobbs at s2vkcobb@vcu.edu.
