Subject: Meeting this Thursday, Nov 16 (we missed you)

Next Meeting this Thursday!

Tl;dr: Meeting this/next Thursday, Nov 16 at 4pm in Snead Hall room B2165 (register here). Get first hand insights into econ courses offered next semester and learn about the accelerated program and ways to get involved both in and out of school. Thank you for your patience this semester- we really missed you all.

Hi SEA!

We hope this newsletter finds you in the midst of surviving midterms and preparing for finals- coffee in hand and determination in your hearts. Brace yourselves because after a brief intermission, we're back! As we reconvene we want to express our gratitude for your patience and understanding. Did you miss us? Of course you did. We missed you too.

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov 16 4-5pm in Snead Hall room B2165 (register here) and we're diving deep into the economic abyss to talk about something very close to our hearts—ECONOMICS COURSES!

Ever wondered which econ class is the real MVP? Well, wonder no more. Join us for a lively discussion on econ courses and electives. Your SEA leadership is ready to spill the tea (or coffee) on firsthand experiences in these courses, ensuring you navigate course scheduling with the wisdom of a seasoned econ student.

But wait, there's more! Have you considered pursuing a master's degree but feel anxious about the commitment or the demands of a program? If so, you're in luck, because we're unraveling the mysteries of the ACCELERATED PROGRAM. Picture this: undergraduates taking master's-level courses. Mind-blowing, right? We'll help guide you through how to get started.

We'll also help you start exploring ways to become more acclimated to the economics field outside of school. From internship and externship opportunities to podcasts and books that’ll introduce you to new ideas and ways of thinking about the world, to attending luncheons and conferences where you can mingle with fellow econ enthusiasts, we've got the keys to unlock the door to your econ potential.

So get ready to kickstart the rest of your academic career! Join us on Thursday for laughs, insights, and possibly a spontaneous interpretive dance about supply and demand (we make no promises). Until then, keep caffeinated and stay economically fabulous!

SEA you there!

Best,
SEA
