Throughout the past year our experiences, both virtual and those rare in-person times, have challenged us to seek deeper meaning and understanding.

When confronted with misinformation, misunderstandings, and disbelief, we are required to go further, explore more, and breach the surface to what lies below.

What will we find there?

What can we learn?

What big ideas lie Below the Surface?

TEDxVCU is Back!

This spring TEDxVCU, sponsored by The Commons, presents big ideas worth hearing from students, staff, faculty, and alumni as part of a two-hour event to be held Saturday, April 10th.

Our diverse and idea-driven lineup includes Talks and Performances from a wide variety of voices in the VCU community.

TEDx events are independently organized and founded on the principles of TED, a non-profit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
