In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxVCU, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxVCU event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

TEDxVCU is a student-run organization supported by staff from VCU's University Student Commons and Activities department. As a university-based TEDx organization, we work to bring ideas worth sharing to our students, staff, faculty, and alumni through live speaking events, Salons, and more. We believe that curating talks from VCU students, staff, faculty, and alumni can spark inspiration and change through their ideas and aim to share them with a worldwide audience.
Our speaking events bridge the gap between thought leaders, innovative performers, and passionate visual artists from the VCU community.
TEDxVCU Adventures are immersive group events to get students, faculty and staff active in the VCU community.
We believe that curating ideas from VCU Rams can spark inspiration and change in the futures of our team members, participants, and viewers.
Follow our Instagram to make sure you never miss out on our events, participants, team, and more.
