Mission
TechConnect is a technology-focused, service-oriented organization dedicated to cross disciplinary experiential learning. We offer technical and professional workshops with a focus on project development and presentation skills. These workshops pave the way for prospective consulting projects, carried out in collaboration with nonprofits in the Richmond, Virginia community. Our goal is to demonstrate how technology can enhance every career path and to support our community by applying concepts learned in academic settings and through practical experience at our workshops. We provide a supportive, judgment-free space supplemented by engagement events, where members can: gain presentation experience, learn how to apply the skills they’ve learned in the classroom, and see firsthand the intersection of their discipline with technology.
