The Mission of the Society is to encourage and recognize excellence in intellectual achievement and foster fellowship among its members. Further, the Society encourages high standards of conduct and character and advocates critical inquiry in all aspects of pharmacy.
The Rho Chi Society is the national pharmacy academic honor society. The Lambda chapter was established at the Medical College of Virginia Campus of VCU in 1929, and the School of Pharmacy's deans select inductees for membership based on their GPA and class ranking. An invitation to membership reflects not only exceptional achievement, but expectations of excellence and future contributions to the profession of pharmacy.
