About Us

The mission of Operation Smile at VCU is to raise awareness and funds for Operation Smile, an international medical charity that provides free surgeries for children and young adults with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial deformities. Through events, fundraisers, and outreach, the club aims to support the organization's mission of providing life-changing surgeries for individuals in need and to educate the VCU community about the impact of Operation Smile. Additionally, the club aims to empower members to become advocates for global health and social justice.

Members Benefits

All VCU students, regardless of their academic background, are welcome. However, the club particularly hopes to engage individuals with an interest in community service efforts, dentistry and oral surgery, pre-professional health, and mitigating disparities in the healthcare sector. Anything in relation to dental and medical studies alongside philanthropy falls under the umbrella of Operation Smile at VCU.
