Men's Multicultural Collective invites you to engage with us.
Come as you are.
MMC offers a variety of large scale programs such as: social events (game nights, study nights, watch parties, etc.), off campus outings, developmental/educational workshops, and guest speakers. MMC additionally offers weekly community engagement opportunities in the Richmond area through the Peter Paul Foundation Center.
MMC offers small group programs such as bi-weekly discussion groups where Men of Color (MOC) can get together to discuss current events and items related to MOC. MMC also offers a weekly book reading group. Students can select either Monday's from 1pm-2pm or Wednesday's from 2pm-3pm. This semester, we will be reading Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl.
MMC offers 1 on 1 support. Drawing from over 7 years of experience at VCU, MMC's Staff Head, Jair Lecky, is skilled in a variety of areas to provide direct support for Men of Color. Jair can provide assistance with: time management/study skills, VCU resource referral, goal setting, or simply be a listening ear to support whatever MOC are experiencing personally. Email Jair (leckyjj@vcu.edu) to set up a 1 on 1 in person or virtual session.
