Mission Hindu YUVA (Youth for Unity, Virtues, and Action) is a platform to preserve, practice, promote, and protect Dharma across VCU campus. At VCU, we are hoping to create asafe space for Hindus to practice and become aware about what Hindu faith is. Thepurpose of this organization shall be to bring together both Hindu and non-Hindustudents to raise awareness about Hindu culture. As one of the largest and oldestreligions in the world, we believe it is necessary that there be an organization oncampus to represent the interests of the Hindu community present here. We hope toachieve these goals by having team-building games, yoga and meditation, and exciting debates and presentations at our weekly meetings. All in all, we want tobuild a Hindu community within Virginia Commonwealth University so that studentscan come and discover a home away from home. We plan to meet biweekly to spendtime as a group, volunteer, and learn more about our culture. Hindu YUVA as a clubwill be less focused on hosting large events for festivals and rather on encouragingstudents to explore different facets of Hindu culture through discussions and talks, tostrengthen bonds between Hindu students.
