Trainings, resources, and events aimed toward preventing hazing at VCU.
Hazing Prevention at VCU is dedicated to educating Rams about the risks associated with hazing and strives to eliminate hazing as a barrier to inclusive and welcoming student organizations.
As of July 1, 2022, the Virginia State Legislature passed a bill requiring hazing education programs for students interested in, new members of, or current members of student organizations that have a time frame between invitation for membership and full membership.
These groups are known as "selective organizations" at VCU. Hazing prevention training is required for all undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who are potential new members, new members, or current members of selective student organizations.
By attending a hazing prevention training, you are eligible to join or continue your membership in selective student organizations. If you are interested in joining a selective student organization, please sign up for a Potential New Member Training. If you are a current member of a selective organization, please sign up for a Current Member training.
