About Us

Guiding Eyes for the Blind is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that raises, trains, and provides guide dogs to people with vision loss. We are passionate about connecting exceptional dogs with individuals for greater independence. Our collegiate chapter at VCU allows students to volunteer as Puppy Raisers or Sitters to prepare these dogs for their future purposes, while also raising awareness of vision loss and promoting inclusivity within the community. Through hands-on experience, VCU students learn valuable skills in dog training, responsibility, and leadership, all while contributing to a greater cause.
