Officer Transition Tips

As you hold elections for your new officers, please be sure to email the Event Services staff to notify them of this change. Without this important step, you will be left without access to the EMS WebApp.

The current President and Vice President should make reservations for the following school year. Be mindful of when the reservation system opens, typically in April.   Once the new officers are elected you will need to do the following:

  • Update your RamsConnect page with the new elected officers
  • Email uscaevent@vcu.edu with the names, poitions, eID, and organization name.
  • New login information will be sent to these individuals, and all event requests will be moved under their name.
  • New WebApp users should take the available EMS trainings before using the system.

The success of your event relies on you and your new officers following these steps. Your event coordinator will not know that there has been an officer change unless you notify them to update the access as well as the event with the new officers.
