The Event Services office for The Commons operates and coordinates all services for the three student centers (The Commons, Hunton, and Larrick) and also manages space reservations and event coordination for nearly 80% of VCU through the EMS WebApp.
Faculty, staff, and student organization leaders can use EMS, an online scheduling portal, to reserve VCU’s campus spaces, including classrooms, conference rooms, theaters, outdoor meeting spaces, and athletic fields/courts. EMS users can browse availability, make a reservation, or modify a reservation
The EMS portal requires an account with a username and password. Anyone who needs help with EMS or wants to request EMS account access, may email email@example.com.
The Event Services team manages the EMS portal at VCU, and is available for support and training for the EMS platform. EMS training videos for the EMS WebApp, campusems.vcu.edu, are available to assist new users.
