Spanish Studies Abroad (SSA) on campus!

A representative, Nora Geer, from Spanish Studies Abroad (SSA) will be on campus Friday, September 5 ,2025 at the lobby tables in the University Student Commons (907 Floyd Ave.) from 11:30AM until 1:00PM to talk about studying abroad opportunities in Central and South America and Spain!

SSA is a new partner of VCU's Global Education Office (GEO) and they provide study abroad programs in Spain, Argentina, Panama, and Cuba. Founded in 1969, SSA offers students Spanish language and cultural programs through short-term and semester coursework at local universities and language centers. Although students can take English courses as well in such subjects such as STEM, they promote Spanish immersion through intentional cultural activities, internships, volunteering, homestays, and their Spanish-only policy with staff and at SSA activities.
