The mission of AAPI Hope is to provide AAPI students who are on a pre-healthcare track support and many opportunities relating to the healthcare field. With many first-generation students being among the AAPI community as a whole, AAPI Hope would serve as a way to encourage these students who face the struggles or fears of going to graduate school for the healthcare field. AAPI Hope will allow youth to explore methods and ideas that help them prepare for their respective field or post-graduate study. Members will also be able to connect with others in different healthcare fields, giving them the opportunity to receive proper guidance and advice when it comes to preparing for post-graduate school. Through guest speaking, networking, and community service events, AAPI Hope strives to empower today's group of AAPI students in the healthcare field.

AUCTUS supports VCU's mission to "engage all undergraduates in research, scholarship and creative expression." As a nationally recognized research university, VCU is championing the concept of an active, student-driven education. In accordance with this ideal, we are a student-run organization that gives a public forum for students to express their intellectual pursuits. Our commitment to collaborative scholarship with the university and the community at large furthers the initiatives of VCU and strengthens VCU's status as a premier research university.

Through a rigorous review process by student reviewers, editors, and faculty advisors, we publish undergraduate work in the fields of humanities, social sciences, STEM, and the arts. Because of our online platform, AUCTUS is able to support interactive, multimedia works in an easy-to-navigate format. This allows us to showcase a large range of pieces that other student journals cannot. All published research and works of creative scholarship are uploaded to Scholars Compass, VCU's research database. Scholars Compass articles appear on search engine results, which enhances the readership of the articles and facilitates academic discussion beyond VCU. All Scholars Compass articles will have an associated DOI.

Our mission is to advocate for a more equitable healthcare system that ensures patients of all races receive respectful, accessible, and high-quality care throughout the maternal health journey.

We strive to achieve this by educating students and the community about maternal health inequities, advocating for systemic change, partnering with local organizations and healthcare programs, and raising funds to support initiatives that improve maternal outcomes. Through service, collaboration, and empowerment, Bebé Listo at VCU works to promote healthier pregnancies, safer births, and stronger support systems for all families.

The Brain Exercise Initiative is a student-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that uses math, reading, and writing as an intervention against Alzheimer's disease and to improve cognitive functioning in senior citizens at nursing homes. Japanese neuroscientist, Dr. Ryuta Kawashima, found that simple math exercises and reading aloud for just 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week can have a positive impact on memory for those with Alzheimer's. Many individuals showed improvements in communication and behavior; some even went from being bedridden to sitting in a chair or walking. There are currently over 1,400 care homes with 15,000 Alzheimer's patients across Japan that have implemented programs based on Dr. Kawashima's research with great success. BEI aims to bring this practice of mind exercise through reading, writing, math, and visual and musical art experience to local nursing homes with the help of university student volunteers.

The mission of the Brighter Smile Foundation is to improve oral health outcomes by expanding access to essential dental products and education for underserved communities around the world. Through partnerships with local volunteers, clinics, and community organizations, the foundation distributes toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and other hygiene products while also promoting awareness of preventive oral care. By reducing barriers to dental hygiene, we aim to combat tooth decay, gum disease, and related health problems, ultimately fostering healthier communities and brighter smiles. We are dedicated to uplifting underserved populations including individuals experiencing homelessness, low-income families, and patients in need through hands-on service, relationship-building, and acts of kindness.
We create and distribute care kits to local homeless shelters and community clinics, filled with essentials and comforting items. Our mission also includes volunteering and building collaborative relationships with VCU’s MCV Hospital, where we hope to support patients through acts of compassion and thoughtful service projects.

The name Club Teddies reflects our guiding belief:
