About Us
SOCA, the Student Organization for Caribbean Awareness, is a club that aims to create and maintain a safe space for learning about Caribbean culture. We strive to acknowledge and celebrate the Caribbean community here at Virginia Commonwealth University. The essential pillars of SOCA are Community Engagement, Outreach, and Equity and Inclusion. Our club is open to everyone, regardless of ethnic background. Additionally, we aim to provide educational and social opportunities for its members.
