Movie Night Gets Scary!

The Purge is an insane movie, okay? Everyone knows that. What you don’t know is that it was inspired by some even crazier history. In Ancient Rome there was a festival called Saturnalia which was a week-long holiday in which people were encouraged to sacrifice each other to the gods… Yikes.

The film stars Ethan Hawke, Lena Headey, Adelaide Kane, and Max Burkholder as members of a wealthy family who find themselves endangered by a gang of murderers during the annual Purge, a night during which all crime, including murder, is temporarily legal.

Let’s all be glad we’re living today and not back then.

As always, we’ve got our concession stand stocked with snacks, so stop by, catch a movie, and scare yourself so bad you won’t be able to sleep for a month.
