Anthropology Poster & Exhibition Symposium

VCU’s Anthropology Club is proud to present the inaugural Anthropology Poster & Exhibition Symposium, or APES, happening April 19th, 2025! The purpose of APES is to encourage undergraduate research and creative projects by allowing students the opportunity to practice formal research poster presentations and project exhibitions in a low stakes environment, and YOU are invited to participate!

While APES is meant to promote anthropological research and/or anthropology-related projects, presenting is open to any undergraduate student and can be in the format of a research poster/other visual presentation OR in the style of a project exhibition, including various art forms! Though it can be completely new, your presentation can be something you have presented or will present elsewhere. This is practice!

Abstract submissions will be reviewed before they are accepted, but there are no judges, no grades, no competition, just informal feedback and friendly critique. Use the form to submit your abstract! Submission Form
