APB Movie Night: In the Heights

The King is here! Lin-Manuel Miranda? Ever heard of him? He only reinvented musical theater. No big deal. 

In the Heights was supposed to be adapted from stage to screen in 2008 but the dummies at Universal fumbled the development of the project. Miranda went on vacation to clear his head, read the biography of Alexander Hamilton, and the rest is history (get it?) .

Pro tip for all those wannabe Hollywood screenwriters: if you want to be noticed, go out and write, direct, and star in a musical that wins 11 Tonys. After that, you’re set. 

Pro tip for all those non-wannabe Hollywood screenwriters who just want to watch the movie: our concession stand has candy and the show starts at 6 pm.
