About Us
Mission: The mission of undergraduate research at VCU is to provide support for student and faculty collaboration in research and creative inquiry through a variety of support mechanisms. Our goal is to enhance undergraduate accessibility to research for students from any background or academic discipline. We assist with engagement of undergraduates in research programs and courses, presentation and publication opportunities, funded research experiences, and development and leadership opportunities. We support research mentors in student recruitment efforts, identifying campus research programs and funding opportunities, and inclusive and effective mentoring practices. We partner with faculty, departments, and research centers to expand opportunities for student/mentor research collaboration.
