Schedule of Events:
12:00-1:00 pm - Kazaxe Dance Fitness with Kat G.
This isn't a typical dance class There are no rules in this version of cardio dance. Get out of your own way and let yourself get weird and wild, I'll show you that it's ALL ABOUT YOU! The steps are easy to follow, but don't be fooled, the intensity will leave you ready to drop at the end! Let yourself feel the music and take you from start to end!
1:00-2:00pm - Caribbean Dance with Tanika P
Get ready to whine and calypso to the newest Caribbean beats. This lesson will take you on tropical retreat as the upbeat music carries you through the fluid moves first created by enslaved people sharing African rhythms.
2:00-3:00pm - Salsa with Tanika S
With origins in Afro-Cuban dance, Salsa is a high energy, rhythmic dance with plenty of ways to get fancy. This introductory lesson will teach you the basic steps and spins to this classic dance style. This lesson can be done solo or with a partner so bring a friend!
4:00-5:00 pm - Bachata with Tanika S
Bachata is a slow and simple 3 step dance originating in the Dominican Republic. With opportunities to add your own flare this lesson will have you turning out on the dance floor. Partners are encouraged so bring your friends!
5:00-6:00 pm Hip Hop with Deandra
As a co-owner of Studio4 Dance Company, VCU Alumnus Deandra Clarke provides all inclusive dance training dedicated to innovative performances, artist development, dance representation and community enrichment. Today she will guide you through this energetic choreographed Hip Hop dance routine.
6:00-7:00 pm - Just Dance Class with Abi & Jordan
Bring your friends and come on down to shake your booty and have a great time! Easy to follow dance moves from the most memorable Just Dance and Dance Central Video game platforms.
