Want to Help Save Animals? Join Richmond Animal League!

Richmond Animal League (RAL) is a local nonprofit animal shelter in Chesterfield that has been dedicated to saving lives and finding loving homes for pets for more than 45 years. If you love animals and want to make a real impact in your community, this is the place to be.

Students can jump in and help with everything from our on-site Loving Spay+Neuter Clinic to hands-on animal care, fostering, adoption support, administrative help, and fun enrichment activities for the pets in our care. You will gain meaningful experience, develop practical skills, and be part of a mission that truly matters.

We already have several VCU student volunteers who we absolutely adore, so why not have more Rams join the team?🐏 Whether you're hoping to earn community service hours for a club, build your resume with impactful extracurriculars, or just enjoy a rewarding break from hitting the books, RAL has a place for you.

Plus, RAL is an awesome place to meet new people and make friends. We have lots of college-aged volunteers, and our teams are friendly, welcoming, and always excited to bring new students into the crew.
