Being My Own Boss: the Queer Latine Edition

Join us for a conversation and performance with two local queer, Latine musicians: MusiqReiV and Alex Dimas. Come for the music, stay for the pizza and discussion!

Reina Violeta, AKA MusiqReiV, was born in Guatemala and raised in Richmond, MusiqReiV is a musical artist, a producer, and the founder of Musiq Cultura RVA. Her musical sound ranges from English/Spanish/French funky, Latin, soulful renditions and fusions of classic rock sounds, to her own queer love lullabies. Her identity as a queer immigrant inspires her music, but has also led to her experiencing discrimination within the Latinx community.

Alex Dimas recently moved to the Richmond area in order to connect with the music community here, and to release her first ever E.P. A goal of hers is to to make people feel something with her lyric storytelling and experimented sound.
